On a practical level, the objectives of the project translate into a training course aimed at operators (public, private and third sector) but also at the Roma community, calibrated on the peculiarities of the Campobasso context and, more generally, of Molise.

The training course consists of three activities:

  • Frontal training (frontal training) for operators
  • Frontal training for the Roma community
  • Mutual learning (mutual learning and cooperation)

All the training activities, both frontal and mutual, will be based on the dialogic method, on interaction, active participation and listening skills. They are all attitudes necessary for enhancing their soft-skills, their ability to solve problems and conflicts, and ensuring the sustainability of the results achieved.

The training course for operators includes the phases of frontal and mutual learning getting to a total of 27 hours of training. Participation in these activities will give the right to the recognition of educational credits by the regional CROAS (Order of Social Assistants of the Molise Region).

Frontal learning for operators and practitioners

The training for the Operators is divided into three modules. They also involve the participation of trainers in the two European partners, allowing for a broader comparison on issues that have territorial peculiarities, but also common crucial aspects.

The first module will take place on 14th and 15th October 2019 (on the 14th from 9am to 1pm; on the 15th from 3pm to 7pm) with the aim of providing the framework of the Rome Community of Campobasso and its relations with the operators especially in light of the results of the Surveys developed during the first phase of the M4R project.

The second module will be developed on 4th and 5th November 2019 (day 4 from 9 am to 1 pm or day 5 from 3 to 7 pm) dealing with the issues of non-discrimination and fundamental rights both in their European dimension and in their implications national.

Finally, in the third meeting of November 19th, 2019 (3 pm – 7 pm), the Bulgarian (GPF) and Greek (IASIS NGO) partners will illustrate the local Roma inclusion and dialogue framework between this community and its institutions.

Frontal learning for the Roma community

The frontal training addressed to Roma participants will provide basic knowledge on European and national legislation on citizenship, as well as on welfare initiatives in place at the local level, trying to stimulate a correct interpretation of these regulatory areas to overcome welfare approaches and recognize them as levers to ensure better opportunities to escape socio-economic hardship.

The training will be carried out in the light of the results of the focus groups developed during the needs analysis and which have highlighted some fundamental critical points:

  • The disorganization of the Roma community of Campobasso from the point of view of its autonomous and active representation at political level
  • The lack of awareness of the importance of the law for the protection of linguistic-cultural minorities and the need to include Roma within it

Mutual learning

The mutual learning activities will involve both the Roma community and the world of operators. Sessions will take place from 9am to 1pm according to the following schedule:
